    SDNP-ENVIS Programme on Hazardous Waste Management has been sponsored by Institute of Ocean Management , Anna University , Chennai under the Indo-Canadian Environment Fund- small grant programme , being executed by the Ministry of Environment & Forests , New Delhi.

    Objectives

    To disseminate such information on hazardous waste management , which is instrumental in sustainable development

    Activities

    • Collection and compilation of national as well as international information related to hazardous waste management
    • Development of information databases and strengthening of information resources
    • Effective and wide dissemination of the information on hazardous waste management through biannual E-newsletters , which will be helpful to support the sustainable management planning
